About Age Calculator

The Age Calculator works out an exact age from a date of birth to any date you choose. Instead of a rough answer in years only, it gives years, months and days, together with the total months, weeks and days and how many days until the next birthday. That makes it useful for forms, school and visa applications, birthday planning and simple curiosity alike.

You can set the “Age at date” to today or to any past or future date. This is handy when a form asks for age on a specific date, such as the date of an application, a course start or a competition, rather than age today.

How to use Age Calculator

  1. Enter your date of birth in the “Date of birth” field.
  2. Enter the date you want the age calculated for in the “Age at date” field.
  3. Press “Calculate Age”, or just change a date — the result recalculates live.
  4. Read the result: years, months and days, total months, weeks and days, and days until the next birthday.

Why use Age Calculator

It is a small tool, but it removes a common source of mistakes: counting months, leap years and birthdays by hand.

Frequently asked questions

Does the calculator update when I change a date?

Yes. It recalculates live on every change, and also when you press Calculate Age.

Can I calculate age on a future date?

Yes. Set “Age at date” to that future date and the calculator will show the age on that day, including the next birthday after it.

Why does the total in days matter?

Some forms, insurance checks and age-limit rules use total days or weeks rather than years alone, so showing both saves a separate calculation.

What happens if I enter a date of birth after the “Age at date”?

The result will not make sense for that combination, so check that the birth date comes first and the “Age at date” comes second.

Is the result the same as my age on my birthday?

Yes. On a birthday the months and days part resets, and the years part increases by one, exactly as a birthday works in real life.
