About Edit PDF
Edit PDF loads a whole PDF, shows every page on screen, and lets you click any text to edit it in place, then download the edited PDF at native page sizes. It is made for fixing a typo, a name, a date or a figure in a PDF without hunting for the original document that created it. Each page is shown as it looks, with its text overlaid as editable words, so you edit what you see.
PDFs are often treated as read-only, which makes small corrections frustrating. This tool treats the visible text as editable: click a word, change it, and the rest of the page stays untouched. The edited PDF is rebuilt at the original page sizes, including landscape pages, so the result still prints and reads like the original.
How to use Edit PDF
- Choose a PDF with “Select PDF file”, or drag it into the file area.
- Wait for every page to render — this starts as soon as you choose the file.
- Click any text on any page and edit it in place.
- Choose the page range to download (default: all pages, e.g. 1 to 2 for just the first two) and press “Download Edited PDF”.
Why use Edit PDF
Small corrections, made in place, on the whole document — not one page at a time in a separate editor.
- Whole document — every page loads in order, not just the first page.
- Click to edit — text is edited where it appears on the page.
- Native page sizes — portrait and landscape pages keep their original dimensions in the download.
Your files and privacy
Your PDF is edited in your browser and is never uploaded to a server.
Honest limits
Edited text is redrawn in a standard font, so it may not match the original font exactly. Scanned PDFs have no text layer and cannot be edited with this tool, and images and layout cannot be moved.
Frequently asked questions
Can I move images or change the layout?
No. You can edit text in place, but images, logos and layout stay fixed, as in the original file.
Can I change the font size of edited text?
Edited text is drawn at a size matching the original word's height, so it blends with the surrounding text. There is no separate font-size control; the tool keeps the replacement text close to the original size automatically.
What happens to the original wording under an edit?
The edited text is what is visible and what is extracted from the downloaded file. The original words remain in the page content underneath a background-coloured cover, as with the approach used by the live site's own toolkit.
Can I edit a scanned PDF?
No. A scanned PDF has no text layer to edit — its pages are images. This tool edits text that is already in the PDF.
Why does edited text look slightly different?
Edited text is redrawn in a standard font, so it may not match the original font exactly, even though the words and position are kept.
