About Rotate PDF

Rotate PDF turns the pages of a PDF by 90, 180 or 270 degrees. It is made for documents that were scanned or saved sideways or upside down, so the text reads correctly without re-scanning. You can rotate all pages, or only the pages you list, which is useful when a single scanned page in a document is the wrong way round.

A sideways PDF is more than an annoyance: it prints sideways, reads badly on a phone, and confuses anyone you send it to. Rotating the file itself fixes the problem once, for every reader, instead of asking each reader to rotate their view.

How to use Rotate PDF

  1. Choose a PDF with “Select PDF file”.
  2. In the options panel, choose the rotation angle: 90, 180 or 270 degrees.
  3. Choose whether to rotate all pages or only specific pages, and enter the page list if you choose specific pages.
  4. Press “Rotate and Download” to download the rotated PDF.

Why use Rotate PDF

Rotation is applied to the file, not just to your view of it, so the result opens the right way up everywhere.

Common uses

Common uses include fixing a document that was scanned sideways, correcting a single upside-down page in a long file, and straightening pages photographed with a phone. A rotated file opens correctly for everyone who receives it, which matters for forms, certificates and contracts that are often printed and filed.

Your files and privacy

Your PDF is rotated in your browser and is never uploaded to a server.

Frequently asked questions

Does rotation change page size?

A 90 or 270 degree rotation swaps width and height; 180 degrees keeps the same dimensions.

Can I rotate pages in different directions in one run?

No. One run applies one angle. To rotate different pages by different amounts, run the tool once per angle group: rotate the pages for the first angle, download, then rotate the next group in a second run.

Can I rotate only page 3?

Yes. Choose the specific-pages option and enter 3, or a list such as 3, 5, 7, and only those pages are rotated.

Will rotating damage the text?

No. Rotation changes page orientation only; the text and images on each page are untouched.

What if a page is already correct?

Leave it out of the specific-pages list, or rotate all pages only when the whole document is the wrong way round.
