About Password Generator
The Password Generator creates strong, random passwords in your browser. Choose a length and which character types to include — uppercase, lowercase, numbers and symbols — and it generates a password and rates its strength, for example “Very Strong” for a 16-character password using all types. It is made for the everyday problem of needing a new password that is both hard to guess and actually usable.
Reusing one password everywhere is the single most common account-security mistake, yet inventing a different strong password for every site by hand is unrealistic. A generator removes the effort: each account gets its own random password, and you only have to remember it in a password manager.
How to use Password Generator
- Set the length using the “Length” field.
- Tick or untick Uppercase, Lowercase, Numbers and Symbols.
- Press “Generate password”.
- Press “Copy” to copy the new password, and press Generate again if you want a different one.
Why use Password Generator
Strong passwords are not about clever words — they are about length and randomness, which is exactly what this tool produces.
- Truly random — passwords come from your browser's random number generator, not from words or patterns.
- Your rules, your password — length and character types are under your control.
- Instant strength rating — see at a glance whether a password is Moderate, Strong or Very Strong.
Your privacy
Passwords are generated on your device with your browser's random number generator. They are never uploaded, stored or sent anywhere by this site — but do not share a generated password, and store it in a password manager rather than in plain text.
Frequently asked questions
Is the password sent anywhere?
No. It is generated on your device with your browser's random number generator and is never uploaded.
How long should a password be?
Longer is stronger. Sixteen characters or more, using several character types, is a good target for important accounts.
Why include symbols?
Symbols widen the set of possible characters, which makes guessing much harder. If a site does not allow symbols, untick them and increase the length instead.
Is a generated password safe to use?
Yes, as far as generation goes — it is random and not based on personal information. Security also depends on keeping it private and not reusing it.
Can I generate the same password again?
No. Each generation is random, so a password you lose cannot be recreated. Save it in a password manager before closing the page.
