About Watermark PDF
Watermark PDF adds a text watermark to every page of a PDF. Enter the watermark text, choose its size, opacity and position, and the tool stamps it diagonally across each page. It is made for marking drafts, confidential documents, samples and review copies, so a reader can see at a glance how a document should — or should not — be used.
A watermark is a simple, visible protection: it does not lock a file, but it makes the document's status obvious wherever it is shared or printed. Stamping every page, rather than just the first, means the mark cannot be avoided by quoting a later page.
How to use Watermark PDF
- Choose a PDF with “Select PDF file”.
- In the options panel, enter the watermark text and choose its size, opacity and position.
- Press “Add Watermark and Download”.
- Download the watermarked PDF.
Why use Watermark PDF
Every page marked, in one run, with the text, size and strength you choose.
- All pages — the watermark appears on every page, not just the first.
- Your wording — use DRAFT, CONFIDENTIAL, SAMPLE or any text you need.
- Adjustable — size, opacity and position are real options that change the output.
Common uses
Common uses include marking a document DRAFT before it is reviewed, labelling a file CONFIDENTIAL before it is shared outside a team, stamping SAMPLE on a document sent to a prospective client, and marking review copies so they are not mistaken for final versions. It is a simple way to state a document's status wherever it travels.

Frequently asked questions
Can I change watermark position?
This tool places the watermark diagonally in the centre of each page.
Can I watermark only some pages?
Yes. Choose the specific-pages option in the options panel and enter the page numbers. Only those pages are watermarked; the rest of the PDF is left unchanged.
Will the watermark hide the text underneath?
It should not, if opacity is kept moderate. Lower opacity keeps the watermark visible while the page text stays readable.
Is a watermark a security lock?
No. It is a visible mark, not encryption. Anyone with the file can still read it, and removing a watermark is possible with PDF editing tools.
Does the watermark appear on printed copies?
Yes. The watermark is drawn onto each page itself, so it appears in printouts and in any copy of the PDF, not just on screen.
