About QR Code Generator
The QR Code Generator turns text or a link into a QR code you can download as a PNG. Enter a website address, a message or any short text, choose a size in pixels, and it draws a QR code that a phone camera can scan. The default example is https://example.com at 220 pixels, which you can replace with your own link in seconds.
QR codes bridge print and screen: a poster, menu, business card, product label or presentation slide can carry a code that takes a phone straight to a website, a contact, a video or a message, without anyone typing a long address. Because the code is generated in your browser, you can create one for a private link without sending that link to a server.

- Enter the text or link in the “Text or link” field.

Common uses
Common uses include putting a menu or a website link on a printed card, adding a QR code to a business card or a flyer, sharing a Wi-Fi password with guests, and linking a poster to an event page. Small businesses use QR codes so customers can reach a page by pointing a phone camera, without typing a long address.
Your privacy
The text or link you enter is turned into a QR code in your browser. It is not uploaded or stored by this site.
Frequently asked questions
What can a QR code contain?
Text or a link. Scanning it opens or shows exactly what you entered.
Will the QR code still work if printed small?
A QR code printed too small can become hard for phone cameras to read. Print it at least a few centimetres across, with clear contrast and no other graphics touching it, and test it with a phone camera before printing many copies.
What size should I choose?
220 pixels works well on screen. For print, choose a larger size so the code stays sharp when printed, and test it by scanning the printed copy.
Will the code work on any phone?
Yes. Any modern phone camera or QR scanner app can read a standard QR code like this one.
Does the QR code expire?
No. The code itself is just an image of your text or link. It keeps working as long as the link it points to keeps working.
