About Merge PDF

Merge PDF combines several PDF files into one PDF, in the order you choose. Select two or more PDFs and the tool joins them end to end, so chapters, invoices, application documents or scanned pages that arrived as separate files become a single file that is easier to send, store and print.

Merging in the browser has a practical advantage: the files never leave your device. That matters for contracts, medical forms and financial documents that you would not want to upload to an unfamiliar server just to combine them.

How to use Merge PDF

  1. Choose your PDF files with “Select PDF files”, or drag them into the file area.
  2. Check the file list and use the up, down and remove controls to set the order you want.
  3. Press “Merge PDFs”.
  4. Download the merged file, named merged.pdf.

Why use Merge PDF

A single combined file is easier to share than a folder of separate PDFs, and the order you set is the order the pages appear.

Common uses

Common uses include combining application documents into one file for a portal, joining chapters of a report into a single document, merging scanned pages that arrived separately, and putting invoices for one month into a single file for accounting. One combined file is easier to attach, name and archive than a folder of parts.

Frequently asked questions

In what order are PDFs merged?

In the order you select them.

Can I add more PDFs after choosing some?

Yes. After your first selection, press “Add more PDFs” in the file list and choose additional files. They are appended to the list, and you can reorder or remove any file before merging.

Can I merge PDFs of different page sizes?

Yes. Pages keep their original sizes in the merged file, so a mix of portrait and landscape pages is preserved.

Is there a limit on how many PDFs I can merge?

There is no fixed limit in the tool, but very large files need enough browser memory. For huge documents, merge in smaller batches.

Will the merged PDF keep bookmarks or forms?

Page content is preserved. Bookmarks, form fields and annotations from the originals may not carry over, since the tool rebuilds the file from its pages.
