How to Edit a PDF

A typo in a PDF usually means hunting for the original document that created it — or living with the mistake. This guide shows how to edit a PDF directly: load the file, click any text and change it in place, then download the edited PDF at its native page sizes. Free, in your browser.

How to Edit a PDF — step by step

  1. Choose a PDF with “Select PDF file”, or drag it into the file area.
  2. Wait for every page to render — this starts as soon as you choose the file.
  3. Click any text on any page and edit it in place.
  4. Choose the page range to download (default: all pages, e.g. 1 to 2 for just the first two) and press “Download Edited PDF”.

Tips

Frequently asked questions

Can I move images or change the layout?

No. You can edit text in place, but images, logos and layout stay fixed, as in the original file.

Can I change the font size of edited text?

Edited text is drawn at a size matching the original word's height, so it blends with the surrounding text. There is no separate font-size control; the tool keeps the replacement text close to the original size automatically.

What happens to the original wording under an edit?

The edited text is what is visible and what is extracted from the downloaded file. The original words remain in the page content underneath a background-coloured cover, as with the approach used by the live site's own toolkit.
